Fishing the Kamberg Bells Trout Festival is regarded as participaing in apremier Trout Fishing event. Kamberg Bells Trout Festival is hosted in the awesome Kamberg Valley, where the Kamberg Community (affectionately known as the Kambergians) work together to offer their private waters to the entrants on an annual basis. The Kambergians come together to enjoy the weekend with the fishermen, to swop stories, to chat about the best places at the dams to catch fish, how many fish have been catch, the ones that got away, funny incidents over the last 16 years and to catch up on friendships. Although this is not a catch and release event, there is a bag limit per session with a minimum number of fish being allowed to be brought in for weigh in. The Weigh In is almost more exciting than the catching asTestosterone levels are high waiting to see who brings in a bigger fish.
Every evening after weigh in, fishermen and Kambergians enjoy the tasty meals prepared by the Kamberg ladies, and continue with the fishy stories and social around the Wheel & Plough Pub in the Kamberg Valley Association Pub. Prize Giving lunch finalises the weekend with fun and serious prizes being allocated for antics and fishing prowess.
Accommodation in the Valley is provided by locals who will assist you with your accommodation needs. The Kamberg Trout Festival Committee and Kamberg Community look forward to hosting the 2012 event and trust that we will meet your expectations of social, fishing and fun.
