KAMBERG BELLS TROUT FESTIVAL
RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Only recognized / bona fide fly fishing equipment may be used. No lures, bait, spinning or any other fishing equipment is permissible.
- Kick boats and float tubes are allowed. However no motors or artificial means of propulsion other than flippers are permissible. No fish finders or electronic fish detection devices are allowed.
- Fishing is only permitted on your allocated waters, times as per Itinerary of events.
- WEIGH IN IS ONLY CONDUCTED ONCE A DAY - 17H30 -18H30 at Kamberg Farmers’ Association. NO LATE WEIGH IN'S WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR PRIZES.
- A minimum size of 50 cm is required to qualify for weigh in. A fish smaller than 50 cm must be carefully released. Length is measured from the tip of the nose to the V in the tail. Remember, you are protecting the future fishing of your competition.
- Prizes will be allocated for team prizes, so please ensure that Team Captains complete all catch returns and submit them at the weigh in each night and at Sunday lunch.
- No pets allowed, and strictly NO lighting of fires on or around any of the waters. Use demarcated bins for cigarette butts and litter. Remember this is a fire hazard area, so be exceptionally careful.
- Observe all farm signs, ensure gates are properly closed and only use demarcated access roads to the water. A maximum speed limit of 40 kms must be observed on all private property.
- There are tagged fish released into the dams. Details of the tagged fish will be discussed at Registration on Thursday 20th May 2010.
- In order to qualify for prizes, prize winners will need to be at the Prize Giving function on Sunday. Non attendees will be disqualified from receiving prizes.
- The Kamberg Farmers' Association (K.F.A.); Trout Festival, it members, sponsors and organizers do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to any property or any injury or illness to any entrant / guest whilst using the waters, facilities or property on which the festival is being held. Please observe normal security rules, lock vehicles.
